Photos taken locally since our arrival in January 2006, also galleries of other areas in France
I rarely set out to photograph anything specifically, and don't use big, image-stabilized telephoto or macro lenses; to me, they're too heavy and expensive to use 'on the hoof'. I have used a variety of compact zooms, including the excellent Minolta Z1, a Sony DSC-H7 and currently a Lumix FZ100. Birds are either digiscoped or I use a Canon 30D/50D, Tamron 200-500mm F6.3 zoom, and a Canon EF 400mm F5.6L USM. All photos are taken in JPEG format
